America's profound need to resist Gramsci

Perceptive Americans and those who love America must surely be grieved to observe the gradual theft of the national culture, which is being continually undermined and hijacked by corrupt politicians and members of the judiciary, a pseudo-Marxist public education system and mainstream media, and the machinations of the military-industrial complex. This erosion of national identity and purpose lies at the root of the nation's malaise.

Some say this is just the way of the world. Yet both research and empirical evidence suggest that the undermining of America's national culture is no accident. Indeed, this effort seems to have been strategically planned, primarily by the demonic disciples of Antonio Gramsci (1891-1937), whose communist teachings are at the core of much that has been taking place in America over the past forty years or so.

Other observers concede that Gramsci's agenda is being played out in the United States, but insist that it is merely a by-product of the 40-year growth of liberalism. What they overlook is that the growth of liberalism is itself a Gramscian tenet, and therefore, both avenues lead to the same place. Either way, America is already subconsciously embracing Gramscian Marxism.

Antonio Gramsci was the most prominent Marxist writer of his time. In 1919, at the same time that the Rockefellers were establishing the Council on Foreign Relations, Gramsci founded a newspaper, the L'Ordinine Nuovo, or the New Order. Two years later, he founded and led the Italian Communist Party, arguing that winning over the intellectual minds of a society is crucial to the eventual success of Marxist hegemonic domination.

Put simply, Gramsci believed in what he called a "long march through the culture." He suggested that a relatively small number of people could achieve the Marxist goal of national and world domination if they infiltrated, undermined and hijacked cultural institutions like high schools, universities, churches and the media, while simultaneously anesthetizing the people. Of course, the process operates much more smoothly if it is done so covertly that average citizens will barely notice the changes. To that end, the Gramscian Marxists ensure that citizens remain preoccupied with entertainment, sport, battles fought in false dialectics, and other distractions. Orwell called this phenomenon "nothink".

This goal has been achieved with ease in America, given the geniality of her people. The Gramscians have actually managed to brainwash large numbers of people into ridiculing anyone who resists their advance. Thus, anyone who disagrees with the official line on events like the assassination of John F. Kennedy, the Oklahoma City bombing and September 11th has been ridiculed and labeled as an extremist, when in reality, they are probably the only ones telling the truth.

If I were to suggest, for instance, that Kennedy was not shot by Oswald, that the Oklahoma City bombing was carried out using internal explosives as a practice run for September 11th, that Timothy McVeigh was not really executed, and that all these events were probably carried out by a group of New World Order Gramscians closely connected with the US Government, your first instinct would be to dismiss me as crazy.

Of course, that is precisely the reaction the Gramscians have spent forty years conditioning the minds of most Americans to deliver. And before you are allowed time to gain true perspective, the subject is changed, and you never discover the true facts.

Gramscians are now running America's political parties, banking system, movies, television and other media. Moreover, as they possess enormous financial and political strength, they are also able to oversee the appropriate distribution of subtle anti-Christian, anti-American, Marxist propaganda in political institutions, high schools, universities and even churches.

As a result of such efforts over the past forty years, America, blissfully brainwashed into ignorance, now stands perilously close to a Marxist, totalitarian state. This descent has been accelerated since September 11th, which paved the way for the Gramscians to intrude further into private lives via the Patriot Act and immense government spending on wars conducted solely for the benefit of the military-industrial complex. Indeed, we have become so comfortable living alongside Gramsci's modern disciples like Hillary Clinton, the ACLU, the network TV presenters and their rulers in the New World Order that we do little more than quietly squirm when they appear before us. Yet, if we wish to reclaim the culture of the America we love, we must do more than squirm.

Those who comprehend, and who care about America's well-being, must first inform themselves and encourage others to awaken their systematically-dulled reflexes. Secondly, we must distance ourselves from the Gramscian propaganda, by excluding it from our lives. And thirdly, above all, we must pray and seek the Lord's guidance.

As Gramsci dictated, America's cultural battle is being waged daily in the nation's schools, universities, churches and media, many of which have become little more than socialist-inspired, anti-Christian, anti-American propaganda factories, where people are encouraged to divide along ethnic lines, rather than unite within a common, national culture, and where pride in everything is encouraged, except of course, pride in being patriotic or God-fearing. The oft-misquoted and misguided desire to separate church and state has given the Marxists a perfect excuse to marginalize and ridicule people of faith, one small example of how Americans have been manipulated into surrendering their culture piece by piece.

As you have seen, the Gramscians deem the very fabric of American culture to be threatened when a child bows his head to thank God before a meal in a school cafeteria. In fact, the reverse is true. It is the child who is trying to preserve and protect American culture, and the Gramscians who are trying to subvert and destroy it.

As Alan Keyes writes: "When the tyrants who seek to oppress you tell you that you cannot even appeal to God for His aid, you know that they have in mind a tyranny without limit. When they tell us that we can't pray, we should pray anyway. When they tell us we can't call upon the name of God, we should call upon His name right in their faces, in defiance of their absolutely, fundamentally unconstitutional and unlawful effort to interfere with our most important God-given and natural freedom."

America was founded by devout, principled, patriotic men who would have abhorred Marxism. They intended to bring into being a peaceful, moral and just society based on the Bible and the founding documents. Such determination, principle and effort were expended in America's founding that it seems tragic to watch that same nation slip under the control of unabashed Marxists, without the slightest effort at popular resistance.

Are you not yet convinced? Just ask yourself what made America into the nation it is. It wasn't the garbage pumped out daily from television and Hollywood, nor miseducating children, nor a reduction in liberty, nor a secret craving for socialism, much less the New World Order. No, the structure of America was formed by the pillars of liberty, patriotism, faith in God, and limited constitutional government. And it is no coincidence that all those pillars are currently being subverted by the Gramscian Marxists and their demons popping out of every cultural nook and cranny in America, monotonously droning their constant anti-Christian, anti-American message.

It's fine to celebrate the birth of Martin Luther King with a holiday, as we have just done, and why not? He was a good man who worked to advance the cause of racial equality. His birth should be celebrated, though please note the contrast with the celebration of the birth of George Washington, founder of the nation, which is no longer a holiday. Which man was more important?

And how about the birth of Jesus, celebrated just a few weeks ago, which the Gramscians will not even allow to be mentioned by name in public, and which is becoming more marginalized every year? With all respect to Dr. King, George Washington founded the United States, and Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world: Their births were more important.

The Gramscian Marxists proclaim the need to replace the wonderful American national culture with a rather meaningless multi-culturalism, the kind of dish which might result if every ingredient in the kitchen were mixed together. I, for one, prefer to eat one food at a time. Steak is marvelous. Chocolate is delicious. But steak with chocolate sauce in the name of multicultural equality? Not for me, thanks!

For a generation, we have watched silently as America's founding principles have been gradually subverted. Has the time come to call a halt? Do you really not care about your liberty, your prosperity, or your children's future? Do you really not wish to help nurture and restore American culture? Are you truly happy to remain indifferent as the culture of your beloved nation disappears before your eyes? We must no longer delude ourselves. America can be redeemed from the Gramscian Marxists only if we are bold, swift and decisive, and act with God's blessing and guidance.

God said "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you" (Deuteronomy 31:6, Hebrews 13:5). Of course, God has not forsaken us: we have been led into forsaking Him. God may or may not save America, but He will certainly save those who acknowledge Him as Savior and Lord. We must now draw on His power, as "we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil" (Ephesians 6:12).

America now bears little resemblance, in anything other than name, to the nation founded in 1776. That free nation has been displaced by a Gramscian, pseudo-Marxist regime that neither has the consent of the governed, nor cares whether they obtain it. In March 1775, Patrick Henry asked: "Is life so dear or peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery?"

We need to recognize what has been happening, grieve, and then channel our grief into action. We must pray and make practical plans for resisting the erosion, and reclaiming the America we love. I came to America 16 years ago, filled with a sense of mission to help restore its beleaguered culture.

Today, I am privileged to run the American Renewal Foundation. I feel a profound, God-given, patriotic desire to make even my modest contribution to that sacred task. I call on you to join me. May we be inspired to action, individually and collectively. There is no more time to lose. We must act.
